“It is not your department”

One day, I went to do my registration on the university. It was my first contact with the academic world. I had an appointment to do it. I took the bus and when I arrived in the local, I asked for help to other student. I want to know where were the department of my course. He said that I was very near. I had to make a right.

The pink building is the department. I went to the direction. When I was in the local, I saw many photos of the graduates. I taught with myself: “Cool, guy. But where were the students of my course?” I didn’t see anybody. After, I decided not to worry about it. I continued to walk in the building. I saw the rooms and tried to discover my room too.

The trees, the rooms, the building were becoming familiar to me. I saw me having classes there. I imagined studying four years, having lessons every day, research about Communication and Social Sciences. I was calculating the distance of the classroom until the bus stop. Innocent. I spent much time there that day. When I was talking with another people about the other courses of the university, one guy asked me about my course. I said that I am a student of Social Sciences. He said: “Social Sciences? Guy, here is not your department. Your building is so far”, he said. I was lost. So, I took another bus and ran to my department like a crazy, because I was very late.
